Grand Pointe Introduces Price Plan to Get Homebuyers MovingELGIN, IL, October 2 - Instead of sitting on a new front porch or in a new back yard, prospective homebuyers are sitting on the fence-waiting for just the right moment or the just the right price before they commit to acquiring their new dream home. Their inaction has worried and confounded economists, homebuilders, sales agents, and everyone else concerned with the sluggish real estate economy. Exactly what will it take to move consumers to buy a new home in what already is a bonafide buyer's market? Grand Pointe Homes, a leader in Chicago-based building, thinks that it has found a real answer. The West Dundee-based company has developed a sales promotional plan that combines across-the-board price reductions with a significant incentives program. "We've created price points that haven't been seen for a very long time," said Scott Ballard, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "If you couldn't afford a certain home six months ago, you probably can now under our new price program. It has made luxury affordable for a lot more people," he said. Although Ballard doesn't like to speak in "promotional lingo," he can't keep himself from calling his plan a "great opportunity" for potential homebuyers. "We think overall real estate prices will begin to rise in a few months, meaning that our promotional plan could represent the last chance for consumers to take full advantage of the buyer's market. By buying Grand Pointe now, consumers will be getting much more home for their money than they ever could have imagined," said Ballard. How much more will depend, in part, on the home they buy and the Grand Pointe community in which they buy it. At the mature lifestyle community Grand Reserve in Algonquin, buyers can acquire a two-bedroom, two bath luxury duplex (with full basement and two-car garage) for the $240,000's, a savings of five to seven percent. In the more upscale Lake Vista in Lake Villa, prices for four bedroom single-family homes (with dramatic nine-foot ceilings on the first floor) start in the upper $300's. Previous prices in that community started in the lower $400's. More great price breaks are available at the other Grand Pointe developments in Montgomery (Fieldstone Place), West Dundee (Grand Pointe Meadows), Aurora (Grand Pointe Trails), Lockport (Grand Pointe Crossing), Mundelein (Tall Grass Ridge), and Lindenhurst (The Preserves at McDonald Woods). The incentives programs pile on additional savings. Buyers who purchase a new home that's already built (sometimes called an inventory or quick-delivery home) can save up to $25,000. But even if they buy a to-be-built home, customers can save as much as $10,000. These incentives are available only by using the company's preferred lender. Through a combination of the incentive program and price reduction, buyers can save upwards of 12% on their new home. "These are the kind of price deals that will lure people off the fence. And really, how can they resist-here they have the chance to come down and buy their brand new dream home at a greatly reduced price. If they don't, and prices go back up again, they will always see this as the great offer that got away. And they'll regret not taking advantage," said Ballard, with equal measures of satisfaction and sympathy. Promotional price information is available by calling 847-930-9100.
