Another Appealing Model Emerges From Tall Grass

ELGIN, IL, October 25 - Grand Pointe Homes announced today that it's offering an additional model at Tall Grass Ridge, a community of 43 large and luxurious single-family homes being built near downtown Mundelein. The new two-story Hawthorne model will-like some of the community's other homes-back up into a lush wetland.

"With the Hawthorne joining the family, we're now seven models strong at Tall Grass, giving homebuyers just that much more choice," said Scott Ballard, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Grand Pointe, one of the largest builders in the Chicago area. "The great choice of models joins the area's school districts, transportation, and overall location to make Tall Grass an extremely attractive option for families."

Like the other models at Tall Grass, the Hawthorne offers tradition with a distinct twist. Measuring 3,070 square feet, the four-bedroom, two-and-one half bath Hawthorne boasts a stunning double staircase, with one originating in the family room and the other in the two-story foyer. The commodes in the full baths sit in separate roomettes. Palladian windows grace all three exteriors. Natural light fills the home, which includes formal living and dining rooms, a kitchen/breakfast bar, a master suite with huge walk-in closet, and nine-foot ceilings on the first floor. The Hawthorne also features a separate laundry room, a brick fireplace, an attached two-car garage, columns in the living room and double doors in the master suite. The price of this Georgian-style home ranges from $473,900 to $481,900 (before Grand Pointe's special savings incentives).

Even after buyers choose a Hawthorne or other Tall Grass model, Grand Pointe offers additional choice, encouraging them to take advantage of such upgrades as bay windows, skylights, built-in entertainment centers, lofts, cathedral ceilings in master bedrooms, three-car garages, and-even-raised-platform Roman tubs in master baths.

"Buyers have the flexibility to essentially put their family's personal stamp on their new home," said Ballard.

Distinctive style isn't confined to just the inside of the Hawthorne (and other Tall Grass models). The exteriors can encompass covered entries, large front porches, shutters and coordinating trim, archways, coach lights, and decorative windows such as transoms and half-rounds. The floor plan comes in several exterior variations, producing eye-catching elevations. Furthermore, Grand Pointe offers a variety of colors and materials (including brick, siding, and stucco) to help create diverse streetscapes and pleasing curb appeal.

Mundelein's location won't curb new residents from getting around. Located just 35 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, the town offers quick access to Interstate 94 and Routes 60, 45, 176, and 83. A nearby commuter train line runs from downtown Mundelein to downtown Chicago. The town also boasts many recreational facilities, from exquisite golf courses to more than 20 neighborhood parks. Baseball, boating, fishing, swimming, and ice skating provide some of the other diversions.

"For families who have always wanted to move to the Mundelein area, the Hawthorne represents yet another appealing Tall Grass opportunity," said Ballard.

To see a Tall Grass model, take 294 to Grand Avenue, exit and head west to the sales center, which is located two blocks east of Route 83. For more information about the homes, call 847-356-8600, or you can go here.
